The Strategic Barrier:
The American civil justice system relies on private litigation to enforce public law. Yet, it operates as a closed club. Pro se (self-represented) litigants are held to the exact same procedural standards as seasoned attorneys, creating an insurmountable structural disadvantage.

When a plaintiff represents themselves, their chance of winning drops to a mere 4% (compared to ~50% with representation). These individuals are disproportionately fighting civil rights, discrimination, and foreclosure battles.
